Mario is a Happiness Activist that currently works at Coursera as the head for Latin America where he's responsible to bring the best education to anyone, anywhere in the region. In the past, Mario served as a VP of Marketing for SOMA messenger, where he secured 10 million downloads within 30 days of launching the app. It became the fastest growing messaging app in internet history. Mario has been a speaker at 10 TEDx events internationally; he gave a talk at Google Headquarters; he spoke before a United Nations panel; and he lectured at universities including MIT, Harvard, Columbia, and Yale among others. Mario has a master's degree from Columbia University's School of International and Public Affairs.
